It works for both, but the design has to match the content type. Compliance content is often fact- and policy-based, which suits short, spaced units well: "here's what changed, here's the one decision this affects." How Do You Choose a Microlearning Platform Architecture?

  1. Decide whether units need to stand alone or build on each other — this determines whether you need strict sequencing or free navigation
  2. Check whether the platform supports scheduled or triggered delivery, not just a static library learners browse whenever
  3. Confirm whether progress and completion are tracked per unit or only at a course level
  4. Check SCORM or equivalent export support if you need the content to work inside an existing LMS
